Needing God

Well lately I've been doing my own thing,

Not doing what I need to,

But more of what I want to,

I haven't paid much attention to you,

I don't talk to you much either,

I have the time,

Yet I still don't do it,

I've got caught up in the world around me,

Instead of living my life only for you,

I've sinned a lot,

But I know that if I ask,

You will forgive me,

I was lost,

But now I am found,

I think I'm getting better,

Just give me some more time,

And maybe I will be,

The christian I used to be,

Cause I have realized,

You are the one I need,

And the only thing I need.
