Broken Promises

Broken promises,

Are like taking a bird,

And breaking one of its wings,

Disabling it from flying,

Without help to mend its injuries,

Then it will eventually die,

Having too many broken promises,

For a human,

Is nearly the same,

It disables a person from living,

Not being able to love or trust anything,

And without help,

They will eventually die,

But it doesn't have to be that way,

Its easier to just not break a promise,

But things do get broken,

And most of the time,

Broken promises can be fixed,

With love and care,

And a little glue here and there,

But even though theres still the pain,

Just give it some time,

Things will get better.
